At Rose & Associate’s Risk Coordinators’ workshop at Tullow Oil’s offices in Chiswick, west London at the end of January, Graeme presented his work on how to identify and quantify systematic bias in probabilistic predictions, and on how much it costs to be rubbish at risking (spoiler alert: a lot). Decision Risk Analytics have moved into the attic of Bernstorff Palace in Bernstorff Park, Gentofte, about 15 minutes north of Copenhagen. Our office is in the old servant quarters, but a palace is a palace, the staff are extremely helpful and friendly and the views from our window are absolutely magnificent.
At the 4th Risk Forum at DTU in November, I argued that strategy that embraces uncertainty, and risk management that focuses – as all risk management ought – on decisions and objectives, are fundamentally the same thing. You can see my presentation here.
